Program ID: BS4L-008
Duration: 6 hours
Overview
So you’ve invested in various learning technologies and bought into the concept of creating a best-of-breed solution.
Now what do you do to bring these disparate, yet complementary systems, together to produce an integrated solution where
the whole is greater than the sum of its individual parts? This program helps to demystify the complexities associated with
training systems integration by taking a unique approach that exposes the characteristics of common systems such as
learning management systems (LMS), learning content management systems (LCMS), learning portals, competency assessment
tools, authoring tools, financial management systems, human resource information systems, and others. Participants learn
and discuss common touch points between systems, as well standard-based integration techniques, that enable communication
of information across platforms in a high volume, low risk environment.
Intended Audience
This program is designed for Chief Learning Officers (CLOs), and directors and managers of training operations for public,
private, nonprofit, and educational organizations interested in advancing their knowledge and competencies related to
critical learning processes.
Learning Objectives
After completing this program, participants should be able to:
- Explain how to simplify the process of training systems integration.
- Describe the classes of learning technologies in a learning ecosystem
- Describe the common interface points between the systems where communication is most prevalent.
- Identify the methods used to integrate systems in the learning ecosystem.
- Employ business knowledge and tools to help integrate training systems designed to enhance the effectiveness an organization’s learning initiatives.
