The CLO Insititute is governed through an advisory board consisting of leading practioners from corporations, public sector organizations, and suppliers.

Advisory Board Members

Annalisa Adams-Qualtiere is the Enterprise College Dean of AAA University—AAA Northern California. Annalisa is responsible for the strategy and execution of enterprise-wide learning solutions and programs. She draws on more than 15 years of progressive and diverse experience in the areas of Human Resources and Training & Development. Specific areas of focus include developing overarching learning strategies, design and deployment of blended learning solutions, increasing operational excellence, and leadership development. Prior experience includes change management, sales and marketing, and project management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and several industry certifications in instructional design, online learning, web development, graphic design, and information technology.
Bob Dean combines business experience with a passion for learning and development. As a senior learning executive, Bob has been a catalyst for learning innovation in two major professional service firms. Last year, Bob Dean and Grant Thornton LLP were presented with a Learning Pioneer Award at the Learning 2005 Conference. Since August 2006, Bob is consulting with corporations and learning companies on leadership development strategy. For the past five years, Bob served as Grant Thornton’s Chief Learning Officer, responsible for the firm’s learning vision and strategy, management of Grant Thornton University (GTU), and the Strategic Learning team. Bob holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and is a certified instructor in well known sales, leadership, and presentation skills training programs.
Patricia Ellenburg is a Principal of The Management Institute, a Phoenix-based consulting firm specializing in corporate finance, financial education and the formulation of training outsourcing strategies for both buyers and suppliers of managed learning services. She is also a Professor of Finance at Western International University, recognized for her expertise in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and financial modeling. Patricia graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Arizona State University in 1983 and received her Masters of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University in 1991.
Jim Hanlin, Chief Operating Officer of TrainingOutsourcing.com, has been involved in education and training for over 25 years as a senior administrator at a community college, director of education for a professional engineering association and has founded and served as president and a member of the Board of Directors for three companies focusing on the development of corporate training strategy and custom training programs. Included in his long list of clients are General Mills, The National Institute of Standards and Practices, Nortel Networks, Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, Heinz USA, Inland Steel, GlaxoSmithKline, Consolidated Edison, and many more. He has been an instructor for numerous corporate education programs, served as an adjunct faculty member for a community college, and taught graduate level courses in adult and community education. Jim holds a BA degree from Dickinson College, a Masters of Education from Kent State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
Doug Harward, CEO and Managing Partner, The Exceleration Group and Founder of TrainingOutsourcing.com. Doug has over 20 years of experience on the buy-side of the training industry as global leader of employee learning at Nortel Networks and as the leading consultant for the training outsourcing industry. Doug earned his Bachelors degree from Appalachian State University and his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He is a frequent speaker at training conferences, serves as a consultant to several major corporations, and has authored numerous articles on business strategies for learning, training outsourcing, and leading a learning organization.
David Metcalf, Ph.D.As an independent researcher, analyst and consultant, Dr. David Metcalf combines business sense and technology efficiencies to provide performance results. His approach has saved companies millions of dollars while guiding business transformations for learning organizations. Specific areas of focus include: learning business strategy, performance measurement, operational excellence, outsourcing, blended learning and mobile learning. Dr. Metcalf was formerly the Chief Learning Technologist at RWD Technologies. He holds a B.A. in Computer Graphics from the University of Texas, an M.S. in Computer-Based Learning and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University and keeps current by continuing to hold appointments at several universities.
Chris Moore, President, Zeroed-In Technologies, is a 15-year veteran of the learning industry having designed and implemented numerous world-class e-learning and technology-based solutions for leading organizations like Boeing, Citigroup, Tropicana, and the US Navy. Chris is widely recognized for his work in applying maturity model concepts to the strategic management of learning and performance, learning metrics, and learning management systems. Today, Chris’s work continues to bridge the gap between learning strategy and execution. His efforts have won him respect as a speaker and author by numerous trade associations and journals including ASTD, CLO Magazine, HR Executive, Training Director’s Forum, and The Conference Board. Chris holds a BS in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
Laura Smith Dunaief is a Principal of LASD Resource Development, a training and communications consultancy launched in 2003. With over twenty years’ experience as a manager and trainer in financial services, Laura has extensive experience designing strategies and programs that meet business needs. Formerly Director of Training for Schwab Capital Markets, she was responsible for training strategy for the trading organization, including: management & professional skill development, change management, and product and service training. As a consultant, she has successfully assisted organizations with building learning strategies and developing programs to meet business goals. A magna cum laude graduate of New York University, Laura holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior & Communication and a number of training industry certifications.
